I love that feeling when you read a whole book in one sitting when you only intended to read a small amount.

We’re re-reading Holes! And once again having a fabulous time with it. This is a great Summer read, and one of my favourite books to read as a writer. Every sentence is essential.

Happy birthday, Harry Potter!

To celebrate Harry’s birthday (and my undying love for the series), I made my own covers! I created patterns (Thanks for the inspiration Scandinavia!) using a significant object from each book. I used those in the movies as reference and digitally painted them. You can view the whole project here! :)

(It’s already July 31 here in the Philippines. Haha.)

June Book Photo Challenge || Day Twenty-Six
Travel:

[I know these aren’t traveling books, but both Cormoran Strike novels came all the way from England and I bought The Casual Vacancy while on my way to the hospital and read it while traveling to and from there since it came out the same day I had a MRI scheduled!] I was surprised Monday with the arrival of The Silkworm, which I wasn’t expecting to arrive until the 9th of July since that’s the date Amazon UK gave. I guess Royal Mail knew I needed a pick-me-up! It arrived in better shape than The Cuckoo’s Calling did last year, so that was another real plus.

I created a tiny reading nook between my shelves! I call it my Reading Throne. I love my throne.
